Writers Forum honors Priscilla Hancock Cooper

This October, the Alabama Writers’ Forum began its 16th year of Writing Our Stories, the award-winning creative writing program for adjudicated youth in Alabama.
As the final event of the season, the AWF and the Department of Youth Services honored teaching writer Priscilla Hancock Cooper, mother of AHF board member Dafina Ward. Priscilla is a teaching writer at Sequoyah School on the DYS Chalkville campus. She is concluding her work as a teaching writer with a final book.
The event, took place on Thursday, November 8, at the Mt. Meigs Campus, DYS Administration Building.
