Coming May 11: Virtual Road Scholars Series

Alabama Humanities’ Road Scholars program is going virtual with its first ever series of presentations on Zoom.

As part of our effort to deliver greater access of our programs, AHF will launch the series with “Pen Strokes of Justice: Judge Horton and the Scottsboro Boys.” It will be followed by a book discussion by Peggy Towns, author of “Scottsboro Boys: Decatur’s Story.”

Tune in at 11 a.m. on May 11, but you’ll need to register first:

The series continues with the following presentations:

  • May 18, 11 a.m. – “Profiles in Courage: The First Female Voters of Limestone County”
  • June 1, 11 a.m. – “Cooking in Cotton Country”

Join us as we chart our future course with history as our guide.
